Go Ahead Lyrics

Go Ahead
(Joe Liggins)If you find anything that you wanna do... go ahead
(go ahead)
If you find anything that you wanna do... go ahead
(go ahead)
If you find someone who's loving you
You think that you could love them too
There ain't nobody stoppin' you... go aheadIf you feel like you wanna rock-n-roll... go ahead
(go ahead)
If you feel like you wanna rock-n-roll... go ahead
(go ahead)
If you feel that rhythm in your soul
you got somebody you can hold
Don't matter if you're young or old... go ahead-Chorus-
Music (Music) Music (Music)
Make it sweet or hot
Rhythm (Rhythm) Rhythm (Rhythm)
Give it everything you gotIf you feel like you wanna ride a train... go ahead

(go ahead)
If you think that you can fly a plane... go ahead
(go ahead)
You can ride a train or fly a plane
or take a trip from here to Spain
Don't be insane, use your brain... go ahead
(go ahead)
ChorusIf you feel like you wanna dance to this tune... go ahead
(go ahead)
If you feel like dancin' now, high as the moon... go ahead
(go ahead)
You can jitter-bug... cut a rug
Do the Bop... or the Chicken
Jack, you in there... don't stop... go aheadGo Ahead

Joe Liggins (July 9, 1915 - July 26, 1987) was a notable jazz, blues, and mostly R&B pianist, who played with the band Joe Liggins and the Honeydrippers in the 1940s and 1950s, as their frontman. His band was often a staple on the R&B chart in those years, with their biggest hit being "The Honeydripper", released in 1945. That single topped the, then called race chart, for 18 weeks. More than 60 years later, "The Honeydripper" remains tied with Louis Jordan's "Choo Choo Ch'Boogie" for the longest-ever stay at the top of that chart. It logged a reported two million.
