Goddess Lyrics

Astonishments when I bend over you creep
Put a noose around my neck
Which side I reside it's my time to reap
It's your side wicked and deafTake me to the place I can sleep
Wipe away all misery
Turn my path away
From the mind tearing tragedyConsuming range of vision
I can see they decline
It's a stay of execution
I fly free tonightNew moon laughs on it's own
Without compassion
I crawl through the realms unknown
And kneel to the goddess of the sad man
Goddess of the sad man
Goddess of the sad man
Goddess of the sad manInhale all mists from the shadows
And hide before the dawn
Face your mortal horror

You won't be rebornInhale all mists from the shadows
And hide before the dawn
Face your mortal horror
You won't be rebornIs he a proud man or just a fraud
Fooling himself with a losers talk
Punished to eternal vanity
It's thy destiny to cry for purityYou infidel slime
I grace insanitySatisfy my agony
I know what my goddess needs
I bet there's something wrong
Inside my psycho creepFire burns within her eyes
Take me to the deadly ride
I remember how she was
When she choked on her own prideNew moon laughs on it's own
Without compassion
I crawl through the realms unknown
And kneel to the goddess of the sad man
Goddess of the sad man
Goddess of the sad man
Goddess of the sad manGoddess of the sad man
Goddess of the sad man
Goddess of the sad manGoddess of the sad man
Goddess of the sad man

Amorphis is a Finnish progressive metal, and formerly Death/Doom band started by Jan Rechberger, Tomi Koivusaari and Esa Holopainen in Helsinki, Finland in 1990. Amorphis absorbed and incorporated influences from many metal genres, and with time passing their sound evolved dramatically. Initially, the band was a death metal act, but with time they have evolved into making music that is more classifiable as doom metal with folk influences, and, more recently, progressive metal and hard rock, utilizing increasingly complex arrangements and a less brutal sound.
