Going Nowhere (feat. Alex Désert) Lyrics

Advisory - the following lyrics contain explicit language:
Verse One
They been telling us for years that we're a part of something
Selling us their tears
Soldiers in their army, how they lust for fear
and we're not gonna take it any longer
We go back so far, from kings and queens of Africa
We stand so tall.
Build up brick by brick so we could read the stars
And we're not gonna stay down any longer

Pre-Chorus
People'll tell you anything
Tell you what song to sing
Are we moving forward, or are we... (Are we goin'?)
Verse2
Swallowed up and whole, in the belly of the beast...
You can lose your soul.
DOn't you take their bait, have some self control...
Think they got you where they want you don't go down, down, down.
Though the pas is gone, know your history my brother
keep us strong.
And our sisters and our mothers, generations on....
will be talked of like the Queens of Mother Earth
Pre-Chorus
People'll tell you anything...
Sell your soul for gold and tings.
Are we goin' forward or are we.... (Are we goin'?)
CHORUS:
Going Nowhere? Going nowhere?
Bridge:
[Horns and vocals]
Pre-Chorus
People'll tell you anything
Tell you what song to sing
Are we movin' forward, now? (Are we going?) Or are we....
CHORUS:
Going Nowhere? Going nowhere?

There are several artists with this name: 1) The Lions. Hailing from the same neighborhood in Dundee, Scotland, Darren and Chris, 10 years later, would meet half the world away, to create, The Lions. In 2008 The Lions released there first LP Sounds Familiar. It was recorded in under 15 hours, mixed and mastered in less than a week. The band proudly wear there influences on there sleeves. Without reinventing the wheel or pretending to say they sound original, The Lions attempt to capture the riffs of Jimi Hendrix on a 7-string Ibanez and recite the melodies of The Beatles.
