Advisory - the following lyrics contain explicit language:
Its Friday night and I just got paid
Im checkin out the city layin in the shade
Im goin through that jam just to release some tension
Im gonna work them chains, maybe we can swingI was sittin at home waitin for the booty call
Coz I cant be alone tonight, tonights gotta be so right
Seems like todays my lucky day
Im goin with the flow, chillin on the low, this is the good lifeGimme that bomb, gimme that bomb, bomb
Gimme that bomb bomb, bomb, bomb
Bomb, bomb, bomb, bomb beat
Gimme the good life, good

Yeah, check it outAnother day in the good life, rollin with my homies in the hood
We rollin down the avenue, punanis souffl, lookin good
We push up on the hoochie, they wanna get busy rollin posse deep
Baby, dont just sleep coz we got it goin onCoz in the New Jack City, you gotta get paid in the shade
Shackin up, dont want a down low, you gotta go for what you know
So when you have no worries, you gotta move in a hurry
If youre slow, you blow, baby, dont you know this is the good lifeGimme that bomb, gimme that bomb, bomb
Gimme that bomb bomb, bomb, bomb
Bomb, bomb, bomb, bomb beat
Gimme the good life
Check it outSplish splash, I was takin a bath
On a Saturday night thinkin about some ass
Voulez-vous coucher avec moi ce soir?
I wanna exercise and make her butt sweat like a spaOh, yeah, Im bringin it like Tang
Direct with the flavor on that BLACKstreet thing
Lord, have mercy, Lord, look at this shorty
I dont need a 40 to get naughtyCoz I used to kick this for fun
I used to break dance and after that girls got done
And it wasnt just about gettin numbers
It was about who can hit the more punani before the summerAnd you can ask BLACKstreet, Teddy, [Incomprehensible] or me
And we can tell you how the good lifes supposed to be
So give it up because it didnt come by luck
Coz I could give a s*** [Incomprehensible]Gimme that bomb, gimme that bomb, bomb
Gimme that bomb bomb, bomb, bomb
Bomb, bomb, bomb, bomb beat
Gimme the good lifeGimme that bomb, gimme that bomb, bomb
Gimme that bomb bomb, bomb, bomb
Bomb, bomb, bomb, bomb beat
Gimme the good life

Blackstreet was an American R&B group founded in 1994 by Teddy Riley, a New Jack Swing pioneer known for his work as a member of Guy. The band members were: Teddy Riley, Chauncey Hannibal, Eric Williams, and Terrell Philips (and formerly Joe Stonestreet, Levi Little, David Hollister, and Mark Middleton). Their debut album, Blackstreet, was a moderate success due to the singles "Booti Call" and "Before I Let You Go", both Top 40 hits ("Before" hit the Top 10). The follow-up, 1996's Another Level was a breakthrough success due to the top single "No Diggity" (with Dr. Dre), which was a #1 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 in November 1996, and won the 1998 Grammy Award for Best R&B Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals, along with the Top 40 hit "Don't Leave Me". Another Level eventually went four times platinum in the United States and peaked at #3 on the Billboard chart. "No Diggity" is ranked at #91 on Rolling Stone and MTV: 100 Greatest Pop Songs, while Blackstreet comes in at #214 of the Top 500 Pop Artists of the Past 25 Years.

Blackstreet has also collaborated with Jay-Z on his single "The City is Mine". With the help of the Janet Jackson single "Girlfriend", Blackstreet finally had a top ten album with Finally. But personnel shifts wracked the group and contributed to the relative failure of Finally in 1999, and Blackstreet soon broke up. After rumors of legal action and a preemptive countersuit, the group re-banded and released Level II in 2003.

In 2006 They are part of New Jack Reunion Tour Line up.
