Good to Be Alive Lyrics

When all you've got are broken dreams
Just need a second chance
And everything you want to be
Gets taken from your handsWe hold on to each other
All we have is all we need
'Cause one way or another
We always make it, you and meThis life can almost kill you
When you're trying to survive
It's good to be here with youIt's good to be alive
It's good to be alive
I was lost and I was gone
I was almost dead inside
You and me against the world
It's a beautiful night
It's good to be alive (It's good to be alive)
(It's good to be alive) It's good to be alive
(It's good to be alive) (It's good to be alive)Driving down this highway
Soaking up the sun

Got miles to go before we get home
And the journey's just begunWe hold on to each other
You are everything I need
You feel like forever
You're a second chance for meThis life can almost kill you
When you're trying to survive
It's good to be here with you
It's good to be alive
It's good to be alive
I was lost and I was gone
I was almost dead inside
You and me against the world
It's a beautiful night
It's good to be aliveIt's a beautiful night
Its all right
It's good to be aliveThis life can almost kill you
When you're trying to survive
It's good to be alive (It's good to be alive)
(It's good to be alive) It's good to be alive
(It's good to be alive) (It's good to be alive)And is good to be alive
its good to be alive
I was lost and I was gone
I was almost dead inside
You and me against the world
It's a beautiful night
It's good to be aliveIt's a beautiful night
Yeah, its all right
It's good to be alive

Skillet is an American rock band formed in Nashville, Tennessee, consisting of all Christian members. Skillet formed in 1996 with two members: John Cooper, former vocalist for Tennessee progressive rock band Seraph, and Ken Steorts, former guitarist for Urgent Cry. The two bands met through touring together, but those bands disbanded soon after, so John and Ken's pastor encouraged them to form their own band as a side-project.
