Goodbye Is the Wrong Way to Go Lyrics

Your sister's waiting outside
And that horn keeps blowing
You say you can't go home
Without knowing where we're goingAnd crying
Saying there's no use tryin'You took off your ring
Got your bags all packed
We both said some things now
That we can't take backBut Im no quitter
Baby, stop and reconsiderWe could call it quits, wash our hands of this
And just move on down the road
But goodbye is the wrong way
Goodbye is the wrong way
Goodbye is the wrong way to goWell, we've come so far
And it's such a shame
To be pointing fingers
And placing blameBaby, calm down, I still love you
We can turn this aroundAnything worth having
Is worth fighting for

I just can't stand here
While you walk out the doorIf you stay the night
I know we can make this work out rightWe could call it quits, wash our hands of this
And just move on down the road
But goodbye is the wrong way
Goodbye is the wrong way
Goodbye is the wrong way to go
