Gospel Time Lyrics

Praise him, praise him, praise him
Praise him, praise him, praise him
Praise him, praise him, praise him, praise him
Yeah, now it's gospel time now
Move to the left in the name of Jesus
Move to the right in the name of the Lord
Could I see you just shake that booty that Jesus gave you?
Shake that booty in the name of the Lord
A salvation time gonna sing a little song
Everybody has to know
Everybody has to know who Jesus is
He's the lily of the valley, he's the brightest morning star
He's the fairest of ten thousand, everybody has to know
Real, real, real Christ, so real to me
I love him, give us the victory
Many people doubt him, I can't do without him
That is why I love him so, he's so real to me
Move to the left in the name of Jesus

Move to the right in the name of the Lord
Shake that booty that Jesus gave you
Shake that booty in the name of the Lord
Lay down my burden, down by the riverside
Down by the riverside, down by the riverside
Lay down my burden down by the riverside
Study war no more
Study war no more, study war no more
Study war no more, study war no more
Study war no more, study war no more
Move to the left in the name of Jesus
Move to the right in the name of the Lord
Shake that booty that Jesus gave you
Shake that booty in the name of the Lord
One, two, three, four, five, six, seven
I am on my way to Heaven by the grace of God in me
Nine, eight, seven and six, five, four, three
Across the bridge there'll be no sorrows
Across the bridge there'll be no pain
The sun will shine across the river
And I'll never be unhappy again
Move to the left in the name of Jesus
Move to the right in the name of the Lord
Shake that booty that Jesus gave you
Shake that booty in the name of the Lord
Move to the left in the name of Jesus
Move to the right in the name of the Lord

One of the all-time giants of the Hammond B-3, Jimmy McGriff (April 3, 1936 -- May 24, 2008) sometimes gets lost amid all the great soul-jazz organists from his hometown of Philadelphia. He was almost certainly the bluesiest of the major soul-jazz pioneers, and indeed, he often insisted that he was more of a blues musician than a jazz artist; nonetheless, he remained eclectic enough to blur the lines of classification.
