Gotta Get to Know You (2016 Remastered) Lyrics

I've made up my mind and here's my decision
I'd like to share with you
All of my secrets of my religion
I want you to see, oh, how sweet I could beOh, I just got to get to know you
I just got to get to know youYou've got what it takes, whoa there's no denyin'
I see in you a dream come true
Lord, you're life to the dying
I want you to see, oh, how sweet I could beOh, I just got to get to know you
I just got to get to know youIn my life there's an empty slot
Oh, now I believe you can fill that spotI just got to get to know you
I just got to get to know youBlessed are the days I spent with you
Realizin' precious moments we never knew
Right now I'm just imagining this thing
But would you believe the joy it bringsI just got to get to know you
I just got to get to know youI'm gonna get you and hold you tight
I want to hold you baby, in the middle of the night
Because I need, I need you baby, I need, I need you by my side
I need, I need, I need you to keep me satisfiedGonna hold you, I'm gonna to squeeze

I'm going to love you
I've made, I've made up my mind
I said I've made, I've made up my mindYou got it, you got what it takes
You got, you got what it takes
I see, I see in you a dream
I see, a dream come true

In the late 1960s, Roger Earl and Lonesome Dave Peverett first toured America as members of the seminal British band Savoy Brown . Together with guitarist Kim Simmonds, Savoy Brown was on the cutting edge of the emerging British blues-rock scene, and they influenced countless musicians on both sides of the Atlantic. In 1971, wanting to give a more rock 'n roll flavour to the blues-boogie music they were playing with Savoy, Dave and Roger enlisted lead/slide guitarist Rod Price and bassist Tony Stevens, formed a new band, Foghat.
