Great White Buffalo Lyrics

Alright, well, listen everybody
To what I got to say
There's hope for tomorrow
If we wake up todayWell, it happened long ago
In the new magic land
The Indians and the buffalo
They existed hand in handWell, the Indians needed food
And skins for a roof
Well they took what they needed
Millions of buffalo were the proofI said, "Hey"But then came the white man
With his thick and empty head
He couldn't see past billfold
He wanted all the buffalo deadSo the Indians hit in field
There were no buffalo to be found
The magic seemed to be missing
It kind of looked like a buried groundBut above the canyon wall
Strong eyes did glow
Leader of the land

The Great White Buffalo
The Great White Buffalo
The Great White BuffaloWell, he got the battered herd
And he led 'em cross some land
With the Great White Buffalo
They could make a final stand, yeahHey, well, listen everybody
To what I got to say
There's hope for tomorrow
If we wake up todayThere's hope for tomorrow
If we wake up today
That Great White Buffalo
That Great White Buffalo
That Great White Buffalo
Yeah, yeah

Theodore Anthony "Ted" Nugent (born December 13, 1948) (aka "The Nuge", "Motor City Madman", "Uncle Ted" or just plain Ted) is a guitarist from Detroit, Michigan.

He originally gained fame as a guitarist for the The Amboy Dukes, a psychedelic rock band from the late 60's best known for their hit "Journey to the Center of Your Mind". In the 70's he went solo and had a string of hits including "Stranglehold", "Free For All", "Dog Eat Dog", "Wang Dang Sweet Poontang" and perhaps his best known song "Cat Scratch Fever".

In the 80's he even tried his hand at acting in a haunting episode of television's "Miami Vice". In 1989, he joined Tommy Shaw of Styx, Jack Blades of Night Ranger, and Michael Cartellone to form Damn Yankees, which produced 1990's chart toppers "Come Again" for Billboard's #1 and rock ballad "High Enough", backed by a string section in the studio and a popular video, reaching #3 on U.S. Hot 100, and #2 on AOR charts. More recently he has gained fame (and notoriety) for his support of hunting and his conservative political views. He is an important member of the NRA (National Rifle Association). He's written four books and released multiple studio albums.

Besides a regular reality type show on cable showcasing Ted's outdoorsman skills, his most recent foray in music was a reality television show SuperGroup that resulted in a band called Damnocracy. The band's other members were Sebastian Bach (formerly of Skid Row), Scott Ian (Anthrax) Jason Bonham ("Bonham", son of Zeppelin's John Bonham) and Evan Seinfeld (Biohazard).

Ted's latest album is titled Love Grenade and was released in 2008.
