Greed Lyrics

Vitalize, benevolent thoughts today
Encrust the encumbrance that encroach your brain
Devastated world we'll see, tomorrow's society
Crushed by our own alternatives we got ourselves to blameTons of death's spreading out violent solitude
We obliterate ourselves
Procrastinated measures decrease our chance to save
'Cause you've always got something else in mindThe reigns rain of pollution melts our opportunities
Conjectural on their comfortable lives
Stupidity separated by a wall of glass
We have to stop this immediately this fucking messTons of death's spreading out violent solitude
We obliterate ourselves
Procrastinated measures decreases our chance to save
'Cause you've always got something else in mind, why?Now it's time to save usNatures demise
We control our ecstasies
Spreading pollution we fumble till the end
The endWater is filled with toxic waste
And the air is filled with shit to breathe
Dismembered world we'll see

We are in deep shitWe have to change this world
Start to communicate
We can't go on like this, no
No because of greedNow it's time to perceive our inauspicious oversight
We're leaning on death against compensation
Are we so afraid to lose our welfare society
That we have to sacrifice the EarthTons of death's spreading out violent solitude
We obliterate ourselves
Procrastinated measures decreases our chance to save
'Cause you've always got something else in mind, why?

Meshuggah, whose name is taken from the Hebrew and Yiddish word for “crazy”, is a five-piece band from Umeå, Sweden, founded in 1987. The band's style is most easily described as extreme/technical metal with some jazz influence. They use extended polymetric passages, polyrhythmic drum patterns, angular, dissonant guitar riffs, and harsh vocals. Their lineup has always been consistent, apart from bass which has been handled by many people since the band’s inception.
