Green Apple Tree Lyrics

I'm under the shade of a green apple tree
Shakin' the sunshine off of me
And it's so fine
It's all mine
Just where I want to beI look at the corn in the cool summer breeze
Waitin' for me to do as I please
And it's so fine
It's all mine
And (don't wanna think about it now)
When the day is through (I gotta pass time somehow)
I'll go, but I know I'll come back againBut now it's the end of a wonderful day
Gee but I wish I could stay
'Cause it's so fine
It's all mine
Ooh...And (don't wanna think about it now)
When the day is through (I gotta pass time somehow)
I'll go, but I know I'll come back again
I'm under the shade of a green apple tree

Shakin' the sunshine off of me
And it's so fine
It's all mine
Just where I want to beAnd it's so fine
It's all mine
Just where I want to be...

Harpers Bizarre was an American pop-rock band of the 1960s, best known for their Broadway/choirboy sound and their remake of Simon & Garfunkel's "The 59th Street Bridge Song (Feelin' Groovy)."
Career Harpers Bizarre was formed out of The Tikis, a Californian band who enjoyed some local success with Beatle-like songs in the mid 1960s. In 1967, record producer Lenny Waronker got a hold of the Simon & Garfunkel song "The 59th Street Bridge Song (Feelin' Groovy)," determined to make it into a single.
