Guardians of Fate Lyrics

Race with the wind, the night is ending
They will win, when the sun is risingStories have been told for years about the rebel man
Riding in the lands of unknown
No one has ever seen their furious beings
And their secret remains untoldTheir deeds shall be heard
Their legend will live forever
They are the guardians of fateAs they shouted their last battle cries
Their destiny was to be dead
Their future was in no one's hands
Like the prophet of the moon had saidRace with the wind, the night is ending
They will win, when the sun is risingTheir deeds shall be heard
Their legend will live foreverAs they shouted their last battle cries
Their destiny was to be dead
Their future was in no one's hands
Like the prophet of the moon had saidThose who traveled far away from home
They'll never return
And those who crossed the seas of hope
They all will burnThey are the guardians of fate

They're riding in the lands of unknown
They're riding in the lands of unknown
They're riding in the lands of unknownThose who traveled far away from home
They'll never return
And those who crossed the seas of hope
They all will burnThose who traveled far away from home
They'll never return
And those who crossed the seas of hope
They all will burn

Ensiferum (Latin ēnsiferum (neuter adjective) meaning "sword bearer") is a folk metal band from Helsinki, Finland. In 1995 Markus Toivonen played guitar with some friends in a band called ”Dark Reflections”, which played mainly covers of certain heavy metal bands including Megadeth, Pantera and many others. Later on, Markus felt that the band in which he was playing offered him very little inspiration and wanted to play something different. Markus was hugely inspired by folk music and also found himself fascinated with melodic death metal bands like Amorphis and Dark Tranquillity.
