Gulf Coast Blues Lyrics

Walkin' on the shore
Feelin' mighty bad
These have been the worst
Ol' blues I ever had
So far
Since you've gone
So farClouds around my brain
How can I drain
These Gulf Coast Blues away?Talkin' to myself
Tellin' me lies
Wonderin' if the tide
Will ever rise
Again
Since you've gone
AgainClouds around my brain
How can I drain
These Gulf Coast Blues away?Ships a-comin' in
Fog around the shore

Wonderin' if you'll be
Waitin' at my door
Tonight
Oh Lord
TonightClouds around my brain
How can I drain
These Gulf Coast Blues away?If love is an ocean where all the rivers end
Blues must be the feelin' while you're waitin' for the wind

He knew everything about it. And Butch was from the folk world. I was kinda the rock & roll guy, and we almost had a triad. We hit it off and started playing a lot together.
