Gust Of Wind Lyrics

Gust Of Wind
RAY BONNEVILLE
Annie said to Lou… I’ll be gone come first light
When this night is through… I must take flight
I can’t be… Your reason to live
If you look you will see… I’m just a gust of wind
A gust of wind… that’s all I am
Just a gust of wind… In a strange land
If the ace of hearts… is what you long for
One in 52 cards… that’s what the odds are
I heard some advice… I keep recallin’
Never hold on tight… to a gust of wind
A gust of wind…. Nothing more
Just a gust of wind… leaving out the door

When I first came here… I was just wandering
Without concern…. For any one thing
I can’t say why… It’s just what I seen
You can’t run and hide… from a gust of wind
A gust of wind…. That’s all that it is
Just a gust of wind… Nothing to fear
Nothing to fear
