HIGH NOTE Lyrics

There were all of those things you weren't supposed to do
Yes, and my my my my my, they were talking to you
There were all of those words that you shouldn't have said
Like a dagger thrown, carry weight of leadLivin' on a high note
Livin' on a high note
Livin' on a high, high, high, high, high, high noteListen, now that it's lone and the wear's been shown
Guessing my, my, my, how you have grown
Gather all of the rank and every ounce of pain
Wash the dirt and dust down the drainIt's livin' on a high note
Livin' on a high note
Livin' on a high, high, high, oh, high, high note
It's livin' on a high note
Livin' on a high note
Livin' on a high, high, high, mmm, high, high note
And if you gotta sing low
Sometimes the way to go(Joe) Joe
(He looked over at Dave) Looked over at Dave
(He was thinkin' he had it made) He was thinkin', he was thinkin', oh, he had it made

(Dave) Dave
(Looked over at Paul) looked on over at Paul
(He was thinkin' he had it all) He was thinkin', oh, he had it all
(Paul) Paul
(He looked over at Steve) Looked over at Steve
(Who's steadily moving) Moving, moving (toward what he believes) Hey, mmm-hmm, mm,-hmmHe was livin' on a high note
Livin' on a high note
He was livin' on a high, high, high, high note
He was livin' on a high note, high note
Oh, no
He was livin' on a (high, high, high, high note)
Livin' on a high note
Livin' on a high note
He was livin' on a high, high, high, high note
He was livin' on a high note
Livin' on a high note
Livin' on a high, high, high, mmm, high, high noteI love a-livin' on a high note
