Half As Much Lyrics

(Mike w/ Murray)
Bell tower
(Jian)
at the station
(Mike)
is ringin' the morning out.
(Jian)
imprisoned by
(All)
the situation.(Mike)
Would be every bit as sour(All)
if I miss you half as much.
Miss you half as much.(Mike w/ Murray)
The man at the track
sent all the passengers back
and said the 3:29 wouldn't come.(Jian)
No locomotion just ?devotion?.(Mike w/ Murray)
I folded the map into the book on my lap

and wondered if I would feel half as numb(All)
if I miss you half as much.
Miss you half as much.(All, w/ lads in the background banging on walls, pianos, etc...)
In a year or two
we'll see this distance and this heartache through.
I never realized
that I would need the joys and secrets of your eyes
that much.(guitar solo)(Mike & Murray)
Bells chime
(Jian & Dave)
in the hallway.
(Mike & Murray)
You better believe that I
(Jian & Dave)
be only loving you for
(All)
always.(Mike & Murray)
'Cause there'll never be a time(All)
I could love you half as much.
Love you half as much.
Love you half as much.

Moxy Früvous was a folk-pop, geek-rock, socially conscious, politically-satirical band (1990-ca.2002) from Thornhill, ontario, canada, just north of toronto. Canada and the "human experience" are a common theme in Früvous songs. The band formed in 1990 when Jian Ghomeshi and Murray Foster, former classmates at the local Thornlea Secondary School, and participants in the school choir, joined with Mike Ford and David Matheson to busk in Toronto.
