Halo Of Ashes Lyrics

She wears a halo of ashes
Specter on the wind
Waits on me so patiently
I no longer can pretendSky lies a thousand mile below
Stars shine and the moon is clear
With nothing I can only warn
Won't you be left near hereI been a long long time away
With one foot in the grave
Glorified in the dying of the sunMy angel pulls me closer
As my poison she crawls through
Walks with me so silently
I no longer can refuseTomorrow my thousand miles behind
Star shine and the moon below
Wake me where you find me
Pretend you don't knowI been a long long time away
I been a long long time awayShe wears a halo of ashes
Specter on the wind
Waits on me so patiently

I no longer can pretendTomorrow my thousand miles behind
Face painted in the moon below
Wake me where you find me
Pretend you don't know
I been a long long time away
I been a long long time away

There are two bands with the name Screaming Trees: 1. Screaming Trees were a grunge band formed in Ellensburg, Washington in 1985. Their sound was a mix of 60's psychedelia and punk rock, and even though they were critically acclaimed by many, they never achieved the superstardom of their peers. Following the Dust tour, Screaming Trees took another hiatus. After a June 25th 2000 concert to celebrate the opening Seattle's Experience Music Project, the group unsurprisingly announced their official breakup.
