Halo Lyrics

And it's always little things that to the surface brings
The comfort in the pain, the fear behind the smile
We lose along the way the things we leave behind
Along the precipice of things we should not climb
And I'm the first in lineThere's an anchor around my heart dragging me down
Behind the waves in silence I fall
There's a halo above my head spinning me 'round
'Cause I don't know if I'm alive or dead
A dagger in my hand bleeding me dryAnd it's always little things, to the surface brings
Space you need to breathe before the curtain call
Light that leads the way before you hit the wall
Mountain that you climb just to take a fall
For blind among the blind, and I will say thatThere's an anchor around my heart dragging me down
Beneath the waves in silence I fall
There's a halo above my head spinning me 'round
'Cause I don't know if I'm alive or dead
There's a dagger in my hand bleeding me dryAnd all we have to lose is time
And what we lose we leave behind

Stay around and we will shine

Oleander is a post-grunge band from Sacramento, California. Its name is derived from the poisonous wildflower oleander. Oleander was formed by Fred Nelson Jr. (drums), Doug Eldridge (bass guitar), Ric Ivanisevich (guitar) and Thomas Flowers (vocals, guitar) in the mid-90s. Their debut was Oleander, an EP released on Fine Records in 1996, which they followed with the full-length album Shrinking the Blob in 1997. The song "Down When I'm Loaded" became a regional hit, and Oleander signed with Universal Records.
