Hangin' On a String (Contemplating) Lyrics

I've waited, oh, so long
For you to come to me
What did I do wrong
It's all a mystery to meBaby, I feel it too
What am I supposed to do
Maybe I've just changed
Or can I be wrong for youYou, you've got me hangin' on a string now
I'm not your plaything
You, you've got me hangin' on a string now
Am I your playthingYou never told me you were waiting, contemplating
With my heart, my love
You never told me you were waiting, contemplating
With my heart, my loveDo you mean to say
That after all this time
I've waited like a fool
Now who's been changin' youYou, you've got me hangin' on a string now
I'm not your plaything
You, you've got me hangin' on a string now

I ain't your playthingYou, you've got me hangin' on a string now
I'm masquerading
You, you've got me hangin' on a string now
I ain't your plaything, whoaYou never told me you were waiting, contemplating
You never told me you were waiting, contemplating
Come on, child
Take me by the handYou, you've got me hangin' on a string now
I'm not your plaything, no, no, no
You, you've got me hangin' on a string now
Hang on, hang on, yeahYou, you've got me hangin' on a string now
I'm not your plaything
You, you've got me hangin' on a string now
You never told meYou, you've got me hangin' on a string now
You never told me you were waiting, contemplating
You, you've got me hangin' on a string now
You never told me you were waiting, contemplating (I'm not your plaything)You, you've got me hangin' on a string now
You never told me you were waiting, contemplating
You, you've got me hangin' on a string now
You never told me you were waiting, contemplating

There is more than one band with the name "Loose Ends". 1. One of the top British dance and urban contemporary trios in the early '80s, Loose Ends formed in London. They were originally called Loose End, and included Carl McIntosh, Jane Eugene, and Steve Nichol. Virgin signed them in 1981, and their debut was written by Chris and Eddie Amoo of the Real Thing. The group changed its name to Loose Ends in 1983, and signed with MCA in America in 1984. Their single "Hanging on a String (Contemplating)" topped the R&B charts in 1985, and they repeated that achievement in 1986 with "Slow Down.
