Happy Endings Lyrics

Some women you make love to - and some you marry
But I just sing my songs for you - to keep us free from worry
O no - I feel it comin' on again
I must be fantasy's best friend
I'm a sucker for Happy Endings
I do belive en new beginnings
and while I sing this song - I'm making love to you
I will not be a willow forever swaying
But I'll be everything I know until I hear me saying
O no - I feel it comin' on again
I must be fantasy's best friend
I'm a sucker for Happy Endings
I do belive in new beginnings and while I sing this song - I'm makin' love to you...
It's a damm shame - it's a sad drag
But it's the best we can do.
Don't cry now - nothing's gonna come between us
as long as the music goes on and on -
'cause when it stops -

I'll be gone...
I'd love to share a journey that's never ending
But I know what's in store for me because I love pretending
O no - I feel it comin' on again
I must be fantasy's best friend
I'm a sucker for Happy Endings.
