Happy Happy, Country Country Lyrics

Happy, happy, country, country
Somethin snappy, somethin funny
Make em laugh, make em have a good time
Dont make em lonely 'cause it makes em cryJust give em happy, happy, country, country
Thats what they want, man, to feel that funky
Happy country musics gonna make em think
Everythin' is gonna be all rightSo many people feelin' afraid
It looks like everybodys got it made
So many others feelin alone
Got no one to love em when they get homeGive 'em happy, happy, country, country
Somethin snappy, somethin funny
Make em laugh, make em have a good time
Dont make em lonely 'cause it makes em cryJust give em happy, happy, country, country
Thats what they want, man, to feel that funky
Happy country musics gonna make em think
Everythin' is gonna be all rightThey go to the bar to get away
From all the problems of everyday
Dont need another tear in my beer

I got enough problems, dont bring them hereHappiness and love thats lost
We all want it and we pay the cost
But tonight let me get away
And talkin to the people, the people sayGive us happy, happy, country, country
Somethin snappy, somethin funny
Make us laugh, make us have a good time
Dont make us lonely, Jack, it makes us cryJust give us happy, happy, country, country
Thats what we want, man, we're feelin' funky
Happy country musics gonna make us think
Everythin' is gonna be all rightYeah, happy country musics gonna make us think
Everythin' is gonna be all right
Beer thirty, it's honky tonk town

Around the time Jack Ingram started writing songs and performing, he was studying psychology at Southern Methodist University in Dallas. "Music and psychology come from the same place," he says. "It's about studying why people tick. I write songs to figure out my world, why people act the way they do, why they make the decisions they do."
Lucky for us, Ingram chose a career in music-and discovered an altogether different kind of therapy. He weaved his questions about life into songs whose depth and incisive wit were matched only by their melodic resonance and insistent hooks.
