Happy Hawaii Lyrics

Early this morning I drove in the rain
Out to the airport to get on the plane
Hey Honolulu, we're going to happy Hawaii
Alice has been there, she said it was fun
Swimming and surfing, enjoying the sun
Hey Honolulu, we're going to happy HawaiiAfter all I've had to go through
I'm making no plans
But I, but I believe love gives me a second chanceGuess I've been working a little too hard
Need a vacation, I'll send you a card
From Honolulu, a greeting from happy HawaiiIt's so exciting, why should I pretend?
In a few hours the plane will descend
Hey Honolulu, we're going to happy Hawaii
I can imagine the beach and the sand
Walking with someone and holding his hand
Hey Honolulu, we're going to happy HawaiiAfter all I've had to go through
I'm making no plans
But I, but I believe love gives me a second chanceI've got a feeling the dream will come true
Somebody's waiting and I'll forget you

Hey Honolulu, we're going to happy Hawaii

ABBA was a pop music group formed in Stockholm, Sweden in November 1970. The band consisted of Anni-Frid Lyngstad (Frida), Björn Ulvaeus, Benny Andersson, and Agnetha Fältskog. (See also Björn Ulvaeus & Benny Andersson, as well as Benny's previous band Hep Stars.)

They topped the charts worldwide from 1972 to 1982 with eight studio albums, achieving twenty-six #1 singles and numerous awards. They also won the 1974 Eurovision Song Contest with Waterloo.

A jukebox musical based on the music of ABBA titled Mamma Mia! opened in London's West End in 1999 and has since become one of the most popular musicals in the world. In 2008, a movie version was made with Meryl Streep among the cast.

The recent Rock and Roll Hall of Fame 2010 Induction Ceremony, held on March 15 in New York, recognized the huge contribution of ABBA. Represented by Anni-Frid Lyngstad "Frida" and former husband/band member Benny Andersson, it was perhaps the crowning acknowledgment of the phenomenal success of Sweden's most famous four.
