Hark! The Herald Angels Sing Lyrics

Glory to the newborn KingHark, the herald Angels sing
"Glory to the newborn King
Peace on earth and mercy mild
God and sinners reconciled"Joyful, all ye nations rise
Join the triumph of the skies
With the Angelic host proclaim
"Christ is born in Bethlehem"Hark, the herald Angels sing
"Glory to the newborn King"Hail the heaven-born Prince of Peace
Hail the Son of Righteousness
Light and life to all He brings
Risin' with healing in His wingsMild He lays His glory by
Born that man, no more may die
Born to raise the sons of Earth
Born to give them second birthHark, the herald Angels sing
"Glory to the newborn King"

Ella Jane Fitzgerald (April 25, 1917 in Newport News, VA – June 15, 1996), also known as Lady Ella (the First Lady of Song), was one of the most influential jazz singers of the 20th Century, the winner of thirteen Grammy Awards, the National Medal of Art presented by President Ronald Reagan and the Presidential Medal of Freedom presented by President George H. W. Bush. Gifted with a three-octave vocal range, she was noted for her purity of tone, near faultless phrasing and intonation, and a "horn-like" improvisational ability, particularly in her scat singing.
