Have You Ever Been Lonely Lyrics

Have you ever been lonely?
Have you ever been blue?
Have you ever loved someone
Just as I love you? Can't you see that I'm sorry
For each mistake I've made
Can't you see I've changed, dear
Can't you see I've paidBe a little forgiving
And take me back in your heart
How can I go on living
Now that we're apart
If you knew what I've been through
Then you'd know why I ask you
Have you ever been lonely?
Have you ever been blue?Be a little forgiving
And take me back in your heart
How can I go on living
Now that we're apart
If you knew what I've been through

Then you'd know why I ask you
Have you ever been lonely?
Have you ever been blue?

Ernest Dale Tubb (February 9, 1914 – September 6, 1984), nicknamed the Texas Troubadour, was an American singer and songwriter and one of the pioneers of country music. His biggest career hit song, "Walking the Floor Over You" (1941), marked the rise of the honky tonk style of music. In 1948, he was the first singer to record a hit version of "Blue Christmas", a song more commonly associated with Elvis Presley and his mid-1950s version.
