He Could Be the One Lyrics

Smooth talking, so rockin, he's got everything that a girl's wantin'
Guitar cutie, he plays it groovy, and I can't cant keep myself from doing something stupid
think I'm really fallin for his vibe
I get butterflies when he says my nameCHORUSHe's got something special
He's got something special
And when he's looking at me
I want to get all sentimental
He's got something special
He's got something special
I can hardly breathe somethings telling me telling me maybe
He could be the oneHe could be the one, he could be the one , he could be the one
He could be the one, he could be the one , he could be the oneHe is lightning, sparks are flying, everywhere I go he's always on my mind
And I'm goin' crazy, about him lately and i cant keep myself from how my heart is racing
Think I'm really diggin' on his vibe
He really blows me awayCHORUS
He's got something special
He's got something special
And when he's looking at me

I want to get all sentimental
He's got something special
He's got something special
I can hardly breathe somethings been telling me telling me maybe
He could be the oneHe could be the one, he could be the one , he could be the one
He could be the one, he could be the one , he could be the oneAnd he's got a way of making me feel
Like everything I do is
Perfectly fine the stars are alined when I'm with him
And I'm so into himCHORUS
He's got something special
He's got something special
And when he's looking at me
I want to get all sentimental
He's got something special
He's got something special
I can hardly breathe somethings been telling me telling me maybe
He could be the oneHe could be the one, he could be the one , he could be the one
He could be the one, he could be the one , he could be the one

Born Kathleen Josey in Dallas, Texas, Cotton sang with Dallas area bands before moving to Los Angeles, California. Although the The Go-Go's played "Johnny Are You Queer" in their live shows before they signed with I.R.S., it was Cotton who recorded the song for Bomp Records in 1981. The song was originally decried as "offensive" and "homophobic" by many critics and listeners - which may have helped its popularity.
