Heartache Lyrics

It would be a good fight, baby, let's not do it
I bet love knows a way around it, we don't have to go through it
This time we could skip right to the end
To that making up part where the loving startsSometimes we don't need that heartache
This night we could find a way to lose the pain
We don't need the tears, we don't need the hurt
Baby, all we need is to make it workSometimes we don't need it
We don't need it, we don't need the heartache
Oh no, we don't need the heartacheI've been right before a lot of good that did me
Bad habits die hard, baby, nothing great comes easy
One sure way we're gonna win is if we both lay down
I'll give up, you give inSometimes we don't need the heartache
This night all we need is love to ease the pain
We don't need the tears, we don't need the hurt
Baby, all we need is to make it workSometimes we don't need it
We don't need it, we don't need the heartache
We don't need the tears, we don't need the hurt
Baby, all we need is to make it workSometimes we don't the heartache

This night all we need is love
Sometimes we don't need the heartache
This night all we need is loveSometimes we don't the heartache
This night all we need is love
Sometimes we don't need the heartache
This night all we need is loveSometimes we don't the heartache
This night all we need is, all we need is love
Sometimes all we need is love
All we need is love

Around the time Jack Ingram started writing songs and performing, he was studying psychology at Southern Methodist University in Dallas. "Music and psychology come from the same place," he says. "It's about studying why people tick. I write songs to figure out my world, why people act the way they do, why they make the decisions they do."
Lucky for us, Ingram chose a career in music-and discovered an altogether different kind of therapy. He weaved his questions about life into songs whose depth and incisive wit were matched only by their melodic resonance and insistent hooks.
