Heaven Is The Hope Lyrics

We are surrounded
By a world that's not our Home
We are grounded
Until it come our time to goAnd our souls are aching
With a void that won't be filled
Till we see our mansion
High up on the hillAll the tear-stained pages
That fill the stories of our life
Will be erased when
Love lifts up our tires eyesAnd we see Jesus
For the first time face to face
All the pain will fall
A million miles away'Cause Heaven is the Hope that we hold on to
Heaven is the Promise for me and for you
That all we really are is passing through
To something betterWeeping may last all through the night
But Joy is gonna come with a Morning Light
Heaven is the place for you and I

Are gonna live foreverHeaven is the hope [x2]
Heaven is the hope we hold on toI am so excited
And now my heart can hardly wait
To see all the loved ones
That we have lost along the wayAnd every sickness
Will be healed once and for all
And every burden we have bear
Will finally fall'Cause Heaven is the Hope that we hold on to
Heaven is the Promise for me and for you
That all we really are is passing through
To something betterWeeping may last all through the night
But Joy is gonna come with a Morning Light
Heaven is the place for you and I
Are gonna live foreverHeaven is the hope
Heaven is the hope
Heaven is the hope we hold on toThere'll be no more pain and no more sorrow
It could be today it could be tomorrow
But until he call us home
Heaven is Our hope'Cause Heaven is the Hope that we hold on to
Heaven is the Promise for me and for you
That all we really are is passing through
To something betterWeeping may last all through the night
But Joy is gonna come with a Morning Light
Heaven is the place for you and I
Are gonna live foreverHeaven is the hope
Heaven is the hope
Heaven is the hope we hold on toSo we'll keep waiting
Just a few more weary days
And we'll keep watching
For those clouds to roll away
And we'll keep walking
Down this straight and narrow road
Telling all the world
That heaven is the Hope
Just telling all the world
That heaven is the Hope
Telling all the world
That heaven is the HopeThere'll be no more pain and no more sorrow
It could be today it could be tomorrow
But until he call us home
Heaven is Our hopeMy heart can't wait till that day comes
I'm gonna hear Him say my child well done
Till it come my time to go
Heaven is the Hope

Matthew West is a Christian singer who was raised in a suburb of Chicago, IL., where he discovered music at an early age. The son of a minister, he grew up in the front pew listening to his mom harmonize and following her lead. By the time he reached high school, Matthew remained involved in music and received a scholarship to study music at Millikin University in Illinois.

It was during his first year of college, that Matthew began playing guitar and writing songs. By Matthew's senior year, he was playing at every venue imaginable, from Fraternity houses to churches, and youth groups.

He signed an exclusive songwriting deal only a week after graduating and making the move to Nashville. His songs have been recorded by various artists including Rachel Lampa's most recent single, "Savior Song," which was Matthew's first top-5 song as a writer. Some other highlights were having songs placed on the platinum selling WoW 2002 project and also having his song, "Heart of Every Man recorded for the World Youth Day 2000 official soundtrack.

Matthew continued pursuing his dream of singing his own songs. Matthew had the opportunity to travel to universities across the country, and quickly began building up a steady following. With the help of Word Music and Extreme Writers Group, Matthew recorded an independent CD called, "Sellout," which caught the attention of Universal South Records.

Since signing with Universal South, He has released several albums, starting with "Happy" in 2003, "History" in 2005, and "Something to Say" in 2007; along with the re-release of Sellout in 2006. The Forgiveness Songfacts reports that West's fifth album, "Into the Light," is scheduled to be released on September 25, 2012.
