Heaven Lyrics

I see the way you look at me
As if to say it's right
I pray for you day in and day outSomething's happenin' to me
The man I used to be, he's gone
He gave up his life so I could go onAnd girl, holdin' the Heaven
Where the love of a lifetime resides in you
Girl, there's Heaven in you, babeOh girl, and it's so meant to be
In this place where two souls collide
There's no pain, no fear, only you and I, oh girlSomething's happenin' to me
The man I used to be, he's gone
He gave up his life so I could go on and onAnd girl I'm holdin' the Heaven
Where the love of a lifetime resides
Somewhere in you, girl, yeahI've been lookin' for Heaven, babe
See I spent my lifetime only to find
Heaven's in you, girl, girl
Heaven's in you, babe
Lookin' here I spent a lifetime
Tryin' to find Heaven, yeahAnd girl, yeah

Oh oh, girl
Searchin' my lifetime
Tryin' to find the Heaven, yeah, umm babyGotta find it, come on, girl
Heaven's in you, babe
Yeah, it's right there inside your heart baby, ooh girlI've been lookin' for Heaven, babe
Where the love of a lifetime, yeah
It resides somewhere in you, girlSee, I've been looking for Heaven, babe
See, I spent my lifetime, baby
Tryin' to find it
Yeah, aah, ohh girlI want you, baby
And I want to give my love to you
Yeah babyHeaven's right there in your heart, girl
Heaven's inside of you
Heaven's inside of you, yeahHeaven's in you, Heaven's in you, babe
It's right there on the inside
Heaven's in you, girlYou're like Heaven
You're the love of a lifetime
And I find my strength in you

Kem

Kem Owens, professionally known as Kem, is an American R&B/soul singer, songwriter, and producer. He was born in Nashville, Tennessee and raised in Detroit, Michigan.

After finishing high school, Kem dealt with homelessness, addiction, and isolation from his family. He did not overcome these issues until he turned to spirituality and music, as he has said, "My career didn't take off until I connected with my spirituality. That's why I take time on stage and on the album to administer spirituality to people. That's one of the things that I am most proud of." He has also stated that he does not create music marketed to the mainstream hip-hop-dominated R&B crowd but to people who enjoy his soul/jazz adult contemporary sound and lyrical content. He wrote, produced, and financed his self-released debut album, Kemistry, by singing in a wedding band and waiting tables. He was later signed by Motown Records, who re-released the album on February 25, 2003. The album's first single, "Love Calls", became a hit at urban adult contemporary and smooth jazz radio. He followed his debut release with a sophomore album, Album II, released May 17, 2005. It included the hit single "I Can't Stop Loving You", a #1 at urban adult contemporary radio, and the song "You Might Win" featuring Stevie Wonder on harmonica.
