Heaven Knows Lyrics

Heaven knows I love you
Heaven knows how much I care
Couldn't live without you
Look for me and I'll be thereBut even though you're a joy to me
I think you think, "He's a bore to me"
What you think, am I still your guy?
I'm so confused, my darling, I could dieYou're the one on my mind
Got me working overtime
I only think about love and you
Talk to me, don't be shy
Heaven knows I really try to love you
I try to love youUsed to be amazing
Used to make the world say 'Wow'
Heaven brought us together
That's how I know it'll all work outWe built our love on a solid ground
And can't a thing ever bring us down
Back together like we wanted to
Forget me not 'cause I remember youYou're still the one on my mind

Love is working overtime
I only dream about love and you
Talk to me, don't be shy
Heaven know I really try to love
I try to love you, yeahYou're the one on my mind
Got me working overtime
I only think about love, don't you?
Talk to me, don't be shy
Heaven knows I really try to love you
I try to love you, babyThis is love that you can't ignore
I never knew a girl like you before
And Heaven knows I couldn't love you more
This is so right, baby yea
This is so right, yea, yea, yea
This is so right, baby, yea
Because I love you
I really love you, babyBack together like we wanted to
Forget me not 'cause I remember youYou're the one on my mind
Got me working overtime
I only think about love, don't you?
Talk to me, don't be shy
Heaven knows I really try to love you
I try to love you, girlYou're the one on my mind
Got me working overtime
I only think about love, and you?
Talk to me, don't be shy
Heaven knows I really try to love you
I try to love you, babyWork, it can work
Gonna work out, gonna work out
Work, it's gonna work
Gonna work out, gonna work it out
Work, its gonna work, yea 'cause I love you
Honey, Heaven knows and I know it can
Work, it can work
Gonna work out, gonna work out
Work, its gonna work
Gonna work out, gonna work it out
Work, its gonna work, yea 'cause I love you
Ooh and Heaven knows and I know it can
Work, it can work
Gonna work out, gonna work out, honey
Work, its gonna work
Gonna work out, gonna work it out, baby
Work, its gonna work, yea 'cause I love you
And Heaven knows and I know it can

Luther Ronzoni Vandross (April 20, 1951 - July 1, 2005) was an american soul and rnb singer whose career spanned four decades.

In the 70s, he worked as a backing singer Chic and for David Bowie (on the Young Americans album). He later found success as a solo artist with Superstar and A House Is Not A Home.

In the 80s, Vandross was a vocalist on early Change singles (Searching), whilst continuing his solo career with such releases as "Never Too Much", "Power Of Love/Love Power", "If Only For One Night", "Here And Now".

In the 90s, he was more famous for duets with Janet Jackson and Mariah Carey (amongst others), than for his solo work.

It was an ongoing battle with his weight that may have ultimately proved his undoing. He suffered a stroke in 2003, from which he never really recovered, and died in 2005.

During his career, he sold 25 million albums and won eight Grammy awards including Best Male R&B Vocal Performance four times. He won four Grammy awards in 2004, including the Grammy Award for Song of the Year for the track "Dance With My Father," co-written with Richard Marx.
