Hello, Dolly, this is Louis, Dolly
Its so nice to have you back where you belong
Youre lookin swell Dolly, I can tell, Dolly
Youre still glowin youre still crowin youre still goin strongI feel that room swayin while the bands playin
One of our old favorite songs from way back when
So take her wrap, fellas find her an empty lap, fellas
Dollyll never go away againI feel the room swayin while the bands playin
One of our old favorite songs from way back when
So Golly Gee fellas, have a little faith in me fellas
Dollyll never go away fellasll never go away

Louis Armstrong (1901-1971) was a trumpet player, singer, and bandleader, and is widely regarded as one of the most influential artists in the history of jazz. Armstrong was born and brought up in New Orleans, a culturally diverse town with a unique musical mix of creole, ragtime, marching bands, and blues. Although from an early age he was able to play music professionally, he didn't travel far from New Orleans until 1922, when he went to Chicago to join his mentor, King Oliver.
