Helpless Lyrics

I'm so helpless without you
I'm helpless alone
I need you darling
Please don't make me cryI, I, I, I just can't do without you
So helpless I've grown
I can't admit we've said
Our last goodbyeWhy can't you help me
And come back to my arms
Won't you tell me
My fears are false alarm? Is, is, is it hopeless to love you?
Don't tell me it's so
For nothing else would help less
Than to knowWhy can't you a help me?
And come back to my arms
Won't, won't you tell me
My fears are false alarm? Is, is it hopeless to love you?
Don't you tell me it's so
For nothing else would help less

Than to know

The Platters were a successful black vocal group of the early rock n roll era. Their distinctive sound was a bridge between the pre-rock n roll Tin Pan Alley tradition of the Ink Spots and the Mills Brothers and the explosion of teenage music in the mid 1950s. The most successful incarnation of the group comprised lead tenor Tony Williams, David Lynch, Paul Robi, Herb Reed, and Zola Taylor. The Platters formed in Los Angeles, CA, USA in 1953 and were initially managed by Ralph Bass.
