Here Today, Gone Tomorrow Lyrics

It's thirty hour drive from home
Think I'd feel so alone
That couldn't be less trueFamily traveling by my side
Lifeline friends we can't deny
See the world with youHere today, gone tomorrow
We're saying our goodbyes
Drive away from the pastDon't be sad, don't feel sorrow
The memories in our hearts
I won't forgetAn icy road with no remorse
A metal box drifting off course
Is taking everythingI can't believe we lost you
I can't feel any worse now
This must be a dream
When will someone wake me?Here today, gone tomorrow
We're saying our goodbyes
Drive away from the pastDon't be sad, don't feel sorrow
The memories in our hearts
I won't forgetI won't forget

(It's in our hearts, it's in our hearts)
I won't forgetAll my life, I've never felt so strong
As when we're all together
All my days, I've never felt so powerless
When you were taken awayThere's no one in this world
With so much love and so much passion
We'll say goodbye
But we won't forget the liberty and fortitudeHere today, gone tomorrow
We're saying our goodbyes
Drive away from the pastHere today, gone tomorrow
We're saying our goodbyes
Drive away from the pastDon't be sad, don't feel sorrow
The memories in our hearts
I won't forgetI won't forget
(It's in our hearts, it's in our hearts)
I won't forget
(It's in our hearts, it's in our hearts)I won't forget
(It's in our hearts, it's in our hearts)
I won't forget

Silverstein is a 5-piece rock band from Burlington, Ontario, Canada; formed in 2000. The band name was taken from the famous children's author Shel Silverstein. After several lineup changes, the band acquired Billy Hamilton, a local fan who learned of the band's need for a bassist on the Internet message board "The 905 Board" (an Ontario area outreach board which used to be for local musicians). In Christmas of 2001, he joined the band after Shane Told helped him learn the music for the songs. Following a rehearsal on Boxing Day (December 26) in 2001, he officially debuted with Silverstein.
