Here We Go Again Lyrics

Here we go again
Sayin', here we go againOoh, you know I like to watch you sleep
No I don't want to touch you
You'll get mad at me
No I don't want to think about, the bad times
Aw, anyone could have a bad yearNow I don't want you to show me
I do not want you to know me
The way I used to be
All these good things we have
Would not mean a damn to meAnd I don't want to hear those words
You feel you have to say
When you find out, how I used to be
Back in the dayYeah, you know I like the way you slide
Yeah, yes I like it when you do, that slow glide
Now please don't bad talk all those good times
Aw, don't ask for answers, baby
That you do not want to hearNow, I don't want you to make me
I do not need you to break me

Of all my childish ways
I'm still the same you know
Dumb rock hard and good to goI still hear them voices calling me
From back in the day
Aw, baby can't you see
There ain't no place I'd rather beThan watching dirty movies
In that happy room with you
Sleeping on a mattress in the corner
Eating Chinese foodI hear that voice in my head say
Here we go again
Ooh, now here we go againI know you like the way I rock
Sometimes I just need
To drown out, all that back talk
I could not care less what your friends say
Someone's always talking shit about the old daysYou do not need to remind me
That I left it all behind
Those things I used to do
I don't want that other life 'cause
I am so in love with youI can barely hear it calling me
From back in the day
Aw, baby can't you see
There ain't no place I'd rather beThan watching dirty movies
In that happy room with you
Sleeping on a mattress in the corner
Eating Chinese foodI hear that voice in my head say
Here we go again
Yeah, here we go again
Aw, baby here we go againI know
(Here we go)
I know
(Here we go)I know
(Here we go)
I know
(Here we go)
I know, I knowAw, baby, baby can't you see
Yes, I know you got some doubt's
I know you don't believe
I know you think that I'm crazyAnd I know you're just like me
When I hear that voice inside
It makes me want to jump right inSayin', here we go
(Go)
Here we go
(Go)
Here we go
(Go)
Here we go againLet's go watch some dirty movies
Yes in that nasty little room
Sit right on the mattress
While we eat that greasy Chinese foodI hear that voice in my head say
Here we go again
Ooh, baby here we go again

Everclear is a rock band formed in Portland, Oregon, USA, in 1992. For most of its existence, Everclear consisted of Art Alexakis (b. 12 April 1962, Los Angeles, California, USA; vocals, guitar), Craig Montoya (b. 14 September 1970; bass, vocals) and Greg Eklund (b. 18 April 1970; drums). Eklund replaced original drummer Scott Cuthbert in 1994. Montoya and Eklund departed the band in 2003, but Alexakis has continued performing as Everclear with a new lineup.

After a solo tour in the fall of 2003, Alexakis decided to continue with Everclear, organizing a new band that made its debut in March of 2004. The new lineup consisted of bass player Sam Hudson, guitarist Dave French, and drummer Eric Bretl. In the summer of 2004, the band added keyboard player Josh Crawley, and swapped Bretl for former Everclear drum tech Brett Snyder. The new lineup released its first recording, a cover of Woody Guthrie's This Land Is Your Land, that summer. A self-released EP of performances recorded for XM Satellite Radio called Closure was given out at shows in the fall of 2004.

Free of a major label, Alexakis spent the ensuing year and half slowly recording material for a new Everclear release. He admitted that the time after the breakup of the original lineup served as a "wake up call", during which he suffered his third divorce and a filing for bankruptcy. Alexakis announced the completion of the album in early 2006,titled Welcome To The Drama Club. The new band is now on Eleven Seven Music.

In August of 2008, drummer Brett Snyder left the band after four years. He was then replaced by Tommy Stewart, who previously played in bands Fuel and Godsmack.
