Hey You Lyrics

A thousand fires burn out of control
And no one's ever there
To see them
We're dyin of thirst our voice is lost
From all this screaming
I came down in a lonely state
And now everyone is leaving
Our souls so charred beyond recognition
And I'm trying to find the reason
YeahThere's a widow at my front door
She said she heard that I was freezin
They said she's done time
But no one said she's done time for treason
They say she don't take anything from anyone
Which ain't worth giving
I say I don't give anything to anyone which ain't worth stealing
YeahHey you
Did you come to fight

Have you come to the rescue
Hey you
Did you come to watch
Have you come to ridiculeEverything's gotten so far out of hand
There's not much that we could do
Hey you
Did you come to fight
Have you come to the rescueThe city is falling apart
And the clouds and the earth have started bleeding
You just stand around like you don't understand
What it is you're seeing
Time stands still like a broken clock
When our life is so deceiving
You got close once before
And now you're only dreamingHey you
Did you come to fight
Have you come to the rescue
Hey you
Did you come to die
Did you come to be ridiculedEveryone's gotten so bent out of shape
There's not much that we can do
Hey you
Have you come to fight
Have you come to the rescueI ain't waiting for the proof
And I ain't waiting for the future
I've seen too many signs now
And everyone was wrong
I'm just waking up the truth
And I ain't waiting round for youHey you
Did you come to fight
Have you come to the rescue
Hey you
Did you come to watch
Did you come to ridiculeEverything's gotten so far out of hand
They say there's not much that we could do
Hey you
Did you come to fight
Have you come to the rescue
Yeah
