Hide Your Secrets Lyrics

The saddest tone was a voice I heard from a silent film you wrote
Loud and clear was a muted song only two people could hear
So I'll go living through these days acting like I've seen a ghost
A ghostThis place is mocking my passive demise
These walls were safely hiding your lies
Their secret languages everyone speaks
So free. Except for me.Can I save you?
Will it make me feel like I'm in Heaven?
And stay true to me
Will it make you feel the same way I do
And still feel sorrow?
But hate you, just the same. Hate you just the sameTwelve ruthless days of just playing along
I guess you don't feel guilty at all
You've lost your touch with what's right and you're wrong
With me. But I can't see.Can I save you? Will it make me feel like I'm in Heaven?
And stay true to me
Will it make you feel the same way I do
And still feel sorrow?

And hate you just the same. Hate you just the same wayYou must hate me
Sick insecurities take over hope
In the name of deceit.
So just put me out of my misery
With those hands that I won't trust again.I will confess that in time I gave up planning my revenge
Fate worse than death when it makes you forgive and just pretendCan I save you? Will it make me feel like I'm in Heaven?
And stay true to me.
Will it make you feel the same way I do
And still feel sorrow
And hate you just the same. Hate you just the same
Hate you just the same.

Silverstein is a 5-piece rock band from Burlington, Ontario, Canada; formed in 2000. The band name was taken from the famous children's author Shel Silverstein. After several lineup changes, the band acquired Billy Hamilton, a local fan who learned of the band's need for a bassist on the Internet message board "The 905 Board" (an Ontario area outreach board which used to be for local musicians). In Christmas of 2001, he joined the band after Shane Told helped him learn the music for the songs. Following a rehearsal on Boxing Day (December 26) in 2001, he officially debuted with Silverstein.
