Hiding In the Melody Lyrics

Where are you going?
Will I know who?
Well with whom you are holdin'?
Right next to youAnd she'll never keep me easy
You know she's waiting on me all???
On you, on youAnd it's just a little bit of an old self
It adds up, I don't know how
I don't wanna say that it's come true
But what if I could keep it downAnd she knows she's ever-pleasing
She knows it's always easy to see
On you, on me
On you, on me
And I wanted to be there
How I wanted to try
Right next to you
On you, youAgain, it's just no good
Again, I knew I would
Again, it's just no good

Again, I knew I wouldOh, ohAnd I wanted to be there
Oh, I wanted to try
Right next to you
Right next to you
On you, you
Oh, do you?Oh, oh
And I wanted to be there
How I wanted to try
Right next to you
Right next to you
Oh, do you?
Oh, do you?
Oh, do you?To be next to you...

For such a patently American locale, the Twin Cities have lacked a remarkable group that evokes the American rock canon in a classic manner for a long time. Enter Night Moves. Formed in 2009 by guitarist and vocalist John Pelant, bassist Micky Alfano and multi-instrumentalist Mark Ritsema, Night Moves is a distinctly original concoction. Their honey-dipped sound seethes with a kind of down-home tenderness -- and like the best glittering music -- the arrangements are colossal in shape. Night Moves’ powerful debut Colored Emotions is this Minneapolis group’s first album.
