High As The Moon Lyrics

I built an altar for you, out of Polaroids and pins
On the wall of my room
I don't know what to do
Waitin' for you, should be a sinOutside a station, builds me up
It's all I can do
High as the moon, waitin' for you
To come back to my roomI built an altar for you, hope you come around
Those lead to my house
I had a question for you, tellin' the truth
Throws at the soundOutside a station, builds me up
It's all I can do
High as the moon, waitin' for you
To come back to my roomAll I can say
Is show me some strength
Come over please
Your enemies, won't get to youWaitin' to speak
Days into weeks
Come over please

No enemiesOutside a station, builds me up
It's all I can do
High as the moon, waitin' for you
To come back to me pleaseCome over soon
No enemies
Come over see
I'm begging you

The Get Up Kids are a Kansas City-based American rock band. Formed in 1995, the band was a major player in the mid-90's emo scene, otherwise known as the "second wave" of emo music. As they gained prominence, they began touring with bands such as Green Day and Weezer before becoming headliners themselves, eventually embarking on international tours of Japan and Europe. They founded Heroes & Villains Records, an imprint of the successful indie rock label Vagrant Records.
