Highways of the Sun Lyrics

We are sailing in a ship that's got no sails
We are riding on a train right off the rails
We are in an old sedan that's lost a wheel
But it makes no difference to the way we feelIt's been a long time seems like a lifetime
To be where we are
Take a little tumble, fall and maybe stumble
Now we've gone so farAll along the highways of the sunNo one knows how far it is we have to go
Because every step we take reveals some more
But we'll keep right on as far as the eye can see
Over there where land man scares appear to beIt's been a long time seems like a lifetime
To be where we are
Take a little tumble, fall and maybe stumble
Now we've gone so farCruising down the highways of the sunIt's been a long time seems like a lifetime
To be where we are
Take a little tumble, fall and maybe stumble
Now we've gone so farAll along the driveways of the sun

Camel is an English progressive rock group from London, England, United Kingdom. They formed circa 1964 when brothers Andrew and Ian Latimer got together with their respective friends Alan Butcher and Richard Over to form The Phantom Four. The band played extensively around their home town of Guildford, Surrey before changing their name to Strange Bew. The group performed mainly cover tunes until mid-1968 when Ian Latimer quit to get married. Andrew Latimer and Alan Butcher placed an ad in the Surrey Advertiser for a bass player to which Doug Ferguson responded.
