Hold Me Tight Lyrics

You cross the room to me
Put a little bit of paper in my hand then leave
And as the door goes bang
There's a little bit inside me that hopes it is blankBut as the words you wrote are burning
In my head they keep on turning, they say
Hold me tight 'cos I' m losing all the energy to fight
Yeah, hold me tight, 'cos I' m losing all the energy to fightNow, I should run outside
I should be running after you, I should need to cry
Oh, but I don't, I stay
'Cos there's a little bit inside me that likes this painAnd as the words you wrote are burning
In my head they keep on turning, they say
Hold me tight 'cos I'm losing all the energy to fight
Yeah, hold me tight, 'cos I'm losing all the energy to fight for youSo, I threw it away running next to the others
As it all had the same refrain
Hold me tight, 'cos I'm losing all the energy to fight
Yeah, hold me tight, I've been throwing pointless flares into your nightSo, hold me tight, 'cos I'm losing all the energy to fight
So, hold me tight, 'cos I'm losing all the energy
I am losing all the energy to fight
