Hold On My Heart Lyrics

All of these nights are long
Hand on my heart you're strong
Got a feeling that you'll survive
These lost and these lonesome timesYou can't please somebody
Can't please somebody else
Until you learn to look after yourself
You can't be somebody
Can't be somebody else
You've learned your lesson, put in on the shelfHold on my heart
Hold on my heart
Find your stronger parts
Hold on my heartThinking of him each day
When he is miles away
You know it wont serve you well
It's better for time to tellYou can't please somebody
Can't please somebody else
Until you learn to look after yourself
You can't be somebody

Can't be somebody else
You've learned your lesson, put in on the shelfHold on my heart
Hold on my heart
Find your stronger parts
Hold on my heartThough your growing up was hard
Now you're not so easily crushed
Still innocent and strange
All your strength still remainsYou can't please somebody
Can't please somebody else
Until you learn to look after yourself
You can't be somebody
Can't be somebody else
You've learned your lesson, put in on the shelfAnd hold on my heart
Hold on my heart
Find your stronger parts
Hold on my heartHold on my heart
Be the light in the dark
Set yourself apart
And (hold on my)...
Hold on my heart
