Hole in Your Soul Lyrics

You feel bad, let me tell you, we all get the blues
Sometimes life is a burden, way down in your shoes
When it's bad, worse, worst
(And when you're feeling so bad)And you think you're cursed
(And you've got it sad)
Well, if there's one thing for the better
That can turn you looseThere's gotta be rock 'n roll
To fill the hole in your soul
There's gotta be rock 'n roll
To fill the hole in your soulMy friend Sam is a chauffeur, Annie goes to school
Jerry works at the office, Sue lies by the pool
But on all weekends
(Together again)When I meet my friends
(I wanna see them now)
And we're lookin' 'round for the action
Ewe sure play it coolThere's gotta be rock 'n roll
To fill the hole in your soul
There's gotta be rock 'n roll

To fill the hole in your soulABBA, you paint your world and use all colors
ABBA and then you find it all comes out too bright
You know it's only a lie
ABBA, the songs you sing are too romantic
ABBA and when you want the truthThey only spit in your eye
Oh yeah, they're only tellin' you lies
Oh yeah, there's gotta be rock 'n roll
To fill the hole in your soulYou feel bad, let me tell you, we all get the blues
Sometimes life is a burden, way down in your shoes
When it's bad, worse, worst
(You know you're feeling so bad)And you think you're cursed
(And you've got it sad)
Well, if there's one thing for the better
That can turn you looseThere's gotta be rock'n roll
To fill the hole in your soul
There's gotta be rock'n roll
To fill the hole in your soulThere's gotta be rock'n roll
To fill the hole in your soul
There's gotta be rock'n roll
To fill the hole in your soulThere's gotta be rock'n roll
To fill the hole in your soul
There's gotta be rock'n roll
To fill the hole in your soulThere's gotta be rock'n roll
To fill the hole in your soul
There's gotta be rock'n roll
To fill the hole in your soul

ABBA was a pop music group formed in Stockholm, Sweden in November 1970. The band consisted of Anni-Frid Lyngstad (Frida), Björn Ulvaeus, Benny Andersson, and Agnetha Fältskog. (See also Björn Ulvaeus & Benny Andersson, as well as Benny's previous band Hep Stars.)

They topped the charts worldwide from 1972 to 1982 with eight studio albums, achieving twenty-six #1 singles and numerous awards. They also won the 1974 Eurovision Song Contest with Waterloo.

A jukebox musical based on the music of ABBA titled Mamma Mia! opened in London's West End in 1999 and has since become one of the most popular musicals in the world. In 2008, a movie version was made with Meryl Streep among the cast.

The recent Rock and Roll Hall of Fame 2010 Induction Ceremony, held on March 15 in New York, recognized the huge contribution of ABBA. Represented by Anni-Frid Lyngstad "Frida" and former husband/band member Benny Andersson, it was perhaps the crowning acknowledgment of the phenomenal success of Sweden's most famous four.
