Homesick Blues Lyrics

Goin' out to the country
I'm headed for the birds and bees
Away from the city life
Defined to bear their occupyTake it easy now, oh my friend
We're playin' the blues, I'm singin' a song
I'm a long way from where I belongSittin' in the long grass
Watchin' the sun go down
Listenin' to the crickets
Far from the dead of townTake it easy, now, oh my friend
We're playin' the blues, I'm singin' a song
I'm a long way from where I belongLookin' for a new life
Now, the old one's gone
All I got is in my bag
And my heart is in my songTake it easy, now, oh my friend
Playin' the blues, I'm singin' a song
I'm a long way from where I belongLong way from where I belong
Long way from where I belong
Long way from where I belong
