Honey Bee Lyrics

Richie Kotzen Lyrics
"The Damned"
You say you're gonna help me see things in a way that's too real
I really wanna talk to you but I know you already made my deal
I've been driving all night, been running from the truth
And [?] tryna cut it loose
You got all your believers
You water's onion blue
But your hands are stained in red
Somehow I believe you, but I know you manipulate the truth
The way it's getting heavy, I don't know what I should do
You got me wrapped up, somehow I'm so confused
But if you lead me to the fire I'm gonna light the fuse
A shrine for believers

[?] you can't escape
It all looks so good with the lights off
You say let me slip into your deepest dream
And I will show you love
Goddamn me for believing in you
Goddamn your system, makes me do the things I do
Insert your knife, it's your nature to be cruel
Goddamn me for believing in you
Oh, I'm the damned
Right where you want me and I know I'm stuck in my shoes
I follow up on this man now I'm broke from paying dues
You're not a failure, and now I know
When you belong to the unknown they never let you go
A shrine for believers
I know that I can't escape
It always looks so good with the lights off
Won't you let me slip into your darkest dream
I will love you to love me
Goddamn me for believing in you
Goddamn your system, makes me do the things I do
Insert your knife, it's your nature to be cruel
Goddamn me for believing in you
Goddamn me for believing in you
Goddamn your system, makes me do the things I do
Insert your knife, it's your nature to be cruel
Goddamn me for believing in you
Oh, the damned
Will you ever let me go
Oh, I am the damned
