Honey Where's The Money Gone (with Buddy Miller) Lyrics

Honey Where the money goHoney where the money gone
Where the money go
I been working two jobs baby
Bring you all my doughNow they say you got another man
And your leave me right away
What happened to all that cash
Been keepin for a rainy dayWell there's one thing one thing
One thing I want to know
I don't care where the lovin went
Baby where did the money goCan't move round this old house
For catalogs and shoppin bags
Meanwhile they reposess
the only car I ever hadTook away my TV set
And cancelled my Credit (?_)
Can't find no dollar bills
I been keepin in the car for gas
Well there's one thing one thing
One thing that I want to know

I don't care where the lovin went
Baby but Honey where did the money go
Where did the money go
Where did the money go
Where did the money go
Where did the money go
I want to know Honey
Where did the money go(instrumental bridge)Baby you look so good
In your brand new dress
I wondered how you paid for that
Now you just let me guessNow you say you're movin on
Headin where the livin is fine
How come I get the feelin that
It cost me my last dimeWell there's one thing one thing
One thing I really want to know
I don't care where the lovin went
Baby but Honey where did the money goI don't care where the lovin went
Baby but Honey where did the money go
I don't care where the lovin went
Honey tell me where did the money go

Solomon Burke (born March 21, 1940 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA, died October 10, 2010 at Schiphol Airport, The Netherlands) was a soul music pioneer and member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Despite releasing numerous rnb chart hits in the 1960s, he never had a Top 20 hit on the pop charts. Burke's influence, however, has outstripped his mainstream commercial success. He is considered a legend of American music.
