Hood Anthem Lyrics

Some people don't know what it really means to be hood
They think youre made here just a stuffler, youre up to no good
They think these brothers don't know nothing else but bling and white tees
And they think that all these women can do is somebody's weaveThey think these hustlers and gangsters and goons riding by
But be easy with your mouth cause you dont know nothin bout
The life that gets lived, the struggles to deal with
Its hard some days, man, if you feel me then say Im hoodYes, I'm hood, H O O D
Dont speak on it if you dont know what it means
I was raised in the hood, overcame in the hood
Not ashamed of the hood cause the hood is in meYes, I'm hood, H O O D
Dont speak on it if you dont know what it means
I was raised in the hood, overcame in the hood
Not ashamed of the hood cause the hood is in meEverybody put your hands up and rep the hood
If you wanna you can stand up, I know it feels good
Dont be ashamed of the hood, people change in the hood
Aint nothin strange bout the hood, its in everybodyNo matter what you do they'll never see us no different
No matter what we accomplish [Incomprehensible]
We gettin honors for Grammys, on Billboard chart toppers

Thought that they could stop us but we still got an OscarThey can give it up because we aint [Incomprehensible]
Its a movement, baby, and there aint no stoppin that
So Ima keep doin me and hope you keep doin you
We're look out for one another, at the end of the day I'm still hoodYes, I'm hood, H O O D
Aint nothin strange bout the hood, its in everybodyI dont matter if you got some hood in your blood
It don't make you any less, represent it like what?
It dont matter, it makes you more real than the rest
People think its disrespect, consider it a blessingCause you grew up on another side
Saw the world with a different eye, people dont realize
Learn to appreciate the little things and the joy life brings
Aint nothin wrong with bein hoodYes, I'm hood, H O O D
Dont speak on it if you dont know what it means
I was raised in the hood, overcame in the hood
Not ashamed of the hood cause the hood is in meYes, I'm hood, H O O D
Dont speak on it if you dont know what it means
I was raised in the hood, overcame in the hood
Not ashamed of the hood cause the hood is in meYes, I'm hood, H O O D
Dont speak on it if you dont know what it means
I was raised in the hood, overcame in the hood
Not ashamed of the hood cause the hood is in meYes, I'm hood, H O O D
Dont speak on it if you dont know what it means
I was raised in the hood, overcame in the hood
Not ashamed of the hood cause the hood is in meEverybody put your hands up and rep the hood
If you wanna you can stand up, I know it feels good
Dont be ashamed of the hood, people change in the hood
Aint nothin strange bout the hood, its in everybody
