Hopes Too High Lyrics

Listen baby, I wont leave no trace
Gonna light out of here for some cleaner place
Ill be sitting in the backseat with my hair in my face
Then gone fast as freedom on good windIf I got my hopes too high, this is no easy kind of life
I see it in my minds eye, touch me real as daytime
I cant keep from tryingNo place to run for a girl like me
Whole lot of used tos and supposed to bes
I wanna burn like August, shine like gold dust
Where everyday living cant hold meIf I got my hopes too high, this is no easy kind of life
I see it in my minds eye, touch me real as daytime
I cant keep from tryingSo when I reach for you from some way down place
Dont be a stranger who wont show his face
I got no promise but these words I say
I carry you, you carry meIf I got my hopes too high, this is no easy kind of life
I see it in my minds eye, touch me real as daytime
I cant keep from tryingI see it in my minds eye, touch me real as daytime
I cant keep from trying
