How Could a Man Take Such a Fall Lyrics

Verse 1:
"They used to know me at the track,
but I quit the habbit and I ain't been back.
Now I'm watching little babies crawl,
how could a man take such a fall."
Verse 2:
"I used to hang out at the bars,
rubbin' elbows with the movie stars.
Now I'm fast asleep before last call,
how could a man take such a fall."
Chorus:
"But on the other hand,
I'm such a happy man,
I got you by my side.
You've been so good to me,
always stood by me baby, oh you saved me."

Verse 3:
"I used to ride in limousines,
they put my picture in the magazines.
I was the flavour of the week, that's all.
How could a man take such a fall."
Solo
Chorus:
"But on the other hand,
I'm such a happy man,
I got you by my side.
You've been so good to me,
always stood with me baby, ohh yeah you saved me".
Verse 4:
"So now I'm stayin' in at night,
you're my sweetbaby, you treat me right.
Tell me, little honey darl',
:how could a man take such a fall: x2"
Outro:
"I'm so glad I took that fall."
