How Little We Know Lyrics

Maybe it happens this way
Maybe we really belong together
But after all, how little we knowMaybe it's just for a day
Love is as changeable as the weather
And after all, how little we knowWho knows why an April breeze never remains
Why stars in the trees hide when it rains
Love comes along, casting a spell
Will it sing you a song
Will it say a farewell
Who can tellMaybe you're meant to be mine
Maybe I'm only supposed to stay in your arms a while
As others have doneIs this what I've waited for, am I the one
Oh, I hope in my heart that it's so
In spite of how little we knowIs this what I've waited for, am I the one
Oh, I hope in my heart that it's so
In spite of how little we know

Matt Monro (December 1, 1930 (or 1932, say some sources) - February 7, 1985) was a ballad singer of the 1960s and one of great international postwar entertainers. Throughout his 30-year career he filled cabarets, nightclubs, music halls and stadiums across the globe, from Australia, Japan, the Philippines, and Hong Kong to Africa, the Middle East, Europe, and the Americas. He sold more than 25 million records during his lifetime (most of those sales however didn't come until after his death), imbuing each one with his elegant blend of majesty, sincerity, and superior technique.
