How You Gonna Act Like That Lyrics

It seems like just the other day that we hooked up
(I was drivin', you was walkin' and I swooped you up)
From that moment on I knew you were the one, yeah
(I was single, you was lonely and we fell in love)We would sit and talk for hours about anything
(Baby, you hung up, no, you hung up, on three hung up)
I bought your whip, I paid your rent, I gave you everything
(Said you'd always be my baby then you bounce)
How you gonnaHow you gonna up and leave me now?
How you gonna act like that?
How you gonna change it up, we just finished makin' up
How you gonna act like that? How you gonna act like we don't be makin' love
You know we be tearin' it up, breakin' stuff, that ghetto love
How you gonna trip, how could you forget?
How you gonna act like that?Girl, I never thought that lovin' you would hurt
(I did everything a good man would to make it work)
Girl, you should have told me you had second thoughts
(Like before I put the down on the house we bought)Now I'm thinkin' you and me was a mistake
(But then it hits me and I'm missin' all the love we made)

Girl, I know that we've been goin' through some things, yeah
(But the sun is somewhere shinin' even when it rains, oh)I'll be the one you kick it to
I'll be the one that misses you
I'll be the one to ease your pain
I'll be the one you want againAnd you'll be the one I can't forget
You'll be the one that's heaven sent
You'll be the one I can't deny
You'll be the one that makes me cry, babyHow you gonna up and leave me now?
(Why you do?)
How you gonna act like that?
(Why you gotta act like that?)How you gonna change it up, we just finished makin' up
(Whoa, ho, baby)
How you gonna act like that
(But I need you)How you gonna act like we don't be makin' love
(Oh, whoa, baby, baby)
You know we be tearin' it up, breakin' stuff that ghetto love
How you gonna trip, how could you forget?
How you gonna act like that? You know I'm willin' to do anything
Just to keep you in my heart
(Keep you in my heart)
I messed around and gave up everythingI thought we'd never part
(Yes, I did, baby)
I was a player and I made the choice to give my heart to you
And I gotta keep it that way, ooh, babyHow you gonna up and leave me now?
(Ooh, baby)
How you gonna act like that?
(Why you gotta treat me this way?)How you gonna change it up?
(Why you treat me wrong?)
We just finished makin' up
How you gonna act like that?
(Can me somebody tell me why)How you gonna act like we don't be makin' love
(Why? Why? Hey)
You know we be tearin' it up, breakin' stuff that ghetto love
(Oh, oh, baby)How you gonna trip?
(All my friends became your friends)
How can you forget?
(All my ends became your ends)
How you gonna act like that?Keepin' it ghetto
(All I want is you, how you gonna act like that?)
Keepin' it ghetto
(All I needed is you, how you gonna act like that?)Keepin' it ghetto
(All I needed is you)
(You know we be tearin' it up, breakin' stuff, that ghetto love)
Keepin' it ghetto
(All I need is you, all I need is you, babe)How you gonna up and leave me now?
How you gonna act like that?
How you gonna change it up, we just finished makin' up
How you gonna act like that? How you gonna act like we don't be makin' love
You know we be tearin' it up, breakin' stuff, that ghetto love
How you gonna trip, how could you forget?
How you gonna act like that?

Tyrese Darnell Gibson (born December 30, 1978), also known simply as Tyrese, is an American R&B singer, rapper, actor, former fashion model and MTV VJ. After releasing several albums, he transitioned into films, with lead roles in several Hollywood releases including Baby Boy, 2 Fast 2 Furious, Four Brothers, Waist Deep, Death Race, Transformers and Fast Five.

Gibson, who was once a member of a rap group called Triple Impact, released his self-titled debut music album, which went platinum, in 1998; his second album, 2000 Watts, shares the name of the organization he founded to help inner city children. Gibson was given the role originally intended for the late 2Pac Shakur in the 2001 film Baby Boy; the movie was a critical success and performed fairly at the box office. Gibson subsequently appeared in the 2003 box office success 2 Fast 2 Furious (opposite Paul Walker, with whom he formed a close friendship during filming), as well as Flight of the Phoenix (2004), Four Brothers (2005) and Annapolis (2006), co-starring James Franco. Gibson was picked as one of People Magazine’s Sexiest Men of the Year in 2000.

Gibson has also established himself as a successful screenwriter, selling the pitches D.A. Verdict to MGM and Extortion to Universal Studios. In 2006, Gibson sold his first original spec script, To Each His Own, to Screen Gems. He is to star in and produce all of the films. Gibson has also created HQ Pictures, a television and film production company. He has hired Mike Le as VP of development & production to oversee and develop projects under the company’s banner.

Gibson’s latest film is Waist Deep, in which he plays a man fighting to rescue his son from kidnappers; his co-stars in the film, Meagan Good and Larenz Tate, are personal friends of Gibson’s in real life. Like several of his previous roles, the film is set in an urban environment, but Gibson has said that he does not view the role as a “step back”, rather seeing the film as taking “another direction” due to some of its themes and action sequences. Waist Deep was released on June 23, 2006.

Gibson prefers his music career to acting, but will focus on both areas. His third album is called Alter Ego, and featured both R&B and hip hop songs. He used an alias, “Black Ty”, for the rap tracks. Tyrese had a role in the Transformers movie, released July of 2007; the film’s director, Michael Bay, had Gibson in mind for the role before he was cast, and thus Gibson did not have to audition for the part.

Tyrese's fourth and latest album Open Invitation was released on November 1, 2011 in the US. It was preceeded by the single "Stay" which peaked on U.S. Billboard R&B/Hip-Hop Songs at number 11. The second single "Too Easy" features Ludacris and was released soon after.
