Hurl a Stone Lyrics

All are guilty of judgment
And seeing what we only want to see
And the dangers of false pedestals
Is illusive self-moral supremacySo quick to magnify the faults
Inside of one another
Then the flames of out own darkness can ignite
And we become what we fearCast your judgment!
Hurl a stone!
Cast your judgment!
Hurl a stone!Does criticism crush or heal the heads that we oppose
Because the brothers we see living
Are the ones we should love the most
By tearing down another living soul we cannot build
Arrogance is of no value and what will it fulfillCast your judgment!
Hurl a stone!
Cast your judgment!
Hurl a stone!Cast your judgment!
Hurl a stone!

Cast your judgment!
Hurl a stone!Let's not fool ourselves
Our hearts are solid steel and cold-blooded
With most intentions to humiliate
And to applaud our hearts of darknessAnd when we make honest truthful steps
Towards compassionate healing
We will have no time to criticize
Because we will find ourselves the most sickeningYou know it!
You know it!Cast your judgment!
Hurl a stone!
Cast your judgment!
Hurl a stone!Cast your judgment!
Hurl a stone!
Cast your judgment!
Hurl a stone!

Founded in Los Angeles in the late 80's as part of the thriving hardcore scene, downset has evolved into an icon of sorts. As the original blenders of rap, funk, hardcore, punk, metal, and socially aware lyrics, they drew influences from Black Flag to Black Sabbath, Public Enemy to Bob Marley. Becoming a huge draw, the industry took notice and they caught the attention of Mercury/PolyGram Records and released their self titled debut in 1994.
